Course content

This training course is conducted over three consecutive days, and will cover:

Day one - Introduction to PAYE and NIC provides a solid grounding in core payroll skills. It will give you the PAYE and NICs skills necessary for the preparation of manual payments, correction of errors and the understanding of systems output.

Day two - Introduction to Statutory Payments concentrates on the complex rules of SMP, SPP, SAP, SSP and associated leave and contains all recent legislative changes.

Day three - Essential Additions to Basic payroll is ideal for those wishing to understand the interaction between payroll and other internal and external bodies and deductions that can be taken from pay in addition to PAYE and NICs. For delegates with knowledge of PAYE/NICs and statutory payments, it completes the core basic knowledge requirements of the payroll office.

Delivery

This three-day certificate is delivered via classroom learning by our highly experienced qualified tutors, with a step by step approach in an easy to follow manner. During the day practical exercises will be completed with assistance being given where needed.
