What will I learn?

The course will prepare payroll professionals for the changes to Scottish income tax introduced in April 2018.

This half day course will focus on the underpinning knowledge and contextualise the changes using case studies and working examples.

Course content

Contextualising the changes using case studies and working examples, this half-day course will focus on the following:

  • The new tax thresholds
  • Applying NICs
  • Scottish arrestment orders
  • Childcare vouchers
  • PAYE settlement agreements (PSA)
  • Pensions (relief at source tax arrangements)
  • Apprenticeship levy
