Payroll practitioners with responsibility for US payroll, along with accounting, benefits, bookkeeping, HR administrators and others interfacing with payroll.

Course content

  • Calculate gross and net pay
  • Recognise taxable vs. non-taxable fringe benefits
  • Withhold, deposit and report federal income taxes
  • Identify an employee
  • Prepare and file forms 941 and W-2
  • Use forms provided by new employees, including forms W-4 and I-9

Course aims

On completion delegates will:

  • Accurately calculate your US payroll
  • Ensure that you comply with legislation relating to US payroll
  • Report federal income tax
  • Prepare and file forms 941 and W-2
