Why the CIPP?

The CIPP is the only Chartered institute for payroll professionals working in the UK and has a dedicated Pensions Faculty for pension professionals; therefore is in a unique position within government which allows us to lobby on behalf of our members. We also provide all of our members, students and course delegates with the most up to date information on changing legislation.

Benefits to individuals

  • You can choose the study method that suits you, be it face to face, online or blended learning
  • Students receive membership of the CIPP to provide you with access to news updates, the Advisory Service helpline and networking events*
  • Enhanced skills, knowledge and confidence in your role, and enhanced opportunities for career development
  • Confidence that you have access to the most up to date information and support when required
  • Networking opportunities with others in the industry who have faced, or are facing, similar issues to you, therefore providing an additional learning platform

Benefits to employers

  • Confidence that your employees are receiving the most up to date information, therefore, avoiding hefty government fines for non compliance
  • Motivated employees – putting your payroll and pensions staff through training and development programmes shows that you value their skills and position within the organisation

*membership of the CIPP is provided to all training course delegates for six months from the date of course attended and students on qualifications for the duration of their studies

How will I know which course, or delivery method, is right for me?

Our courses are split by course type, whether they are beginners courses, or courses which provide legislative updates so you can easily find the course for you.

The methods of learning and development vary from online delivery, face to face teaching, in-company training, conferences, or a mixture of all of these. This is because the best way of learning is through a style that suits you.

If you are unsure which is best for you, contact the CIPP offices on 0121 712 1000 or email events@cipp.org.uk and we will be happy to help!
