Benchmark your payroll

In the current economic climate it is essential to ensure that all of your operations are cost-effective, this includes payroll.

The CIPP launched the Benchmarking Club in 2009, in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), with the aim of providing it's participants and members an indication of how it's payroll costs compare with others operating in a similar way.

Benefits of Benchmarking

  • Compare the cost of your payroll function with others operating in a similar way
  • Network with other benchmarking participants to discuss cost saving options for your organisation
  • Use as a business case to keep payroll in-house, or outsource as appropriate
