Developing your skills to enhance your service to your employer

Interested? Then book your place for workshop ten at the CIPP’s 30th Annual Payroll and Pensions Conference and Exhibition.

Join Elaine Gibson MSc, FCIPP, associate director of qualifications, CIPP for a workshop focussing on how can a payroll and/or pensions employee add value to their employer?

This session will feature examples of what could be used to enhance your service and the profession to your employer and will focus on:

  • Self-development: have you got a plan?
  • Where are you now?
  • Where do you want to be – do you know? How you will get there?
  • In terms of how will you get there you need to know where you are going! Is this conflict between your aspirations v those of your employer?
  • Are you aware of your real potential? Do you sell yourself short? What affect does all this have on your service provision and contribution to corporate objectives?
  • Develop yourself and promote your profession

Elaine Gibson has worked for the CIPP for over ten years, where her roles have included; payroll trainer, diploma tutor, senior policy and research officer and current role, associate director of qualifications. Elaine is the CIPP programme leader for all professional courses, undertaken via the CIPP in conjunction with our key partners including the University of Derby, University of Derby Corporate, Worcester College of Technology and the University of Worcester.
