Check, Challenge and Appeal

11 November 2018

The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) is looking for volunteers across the tax agent community ranging from small to large organisations to participate in user research for one of their services called Check, Challenge and Appeal (CCA) – a Digital Service for the current Business Rates process.

Participation will involve following a scenario, exploring the prototype screens for the Check and Challenge journey.

Your participation will be anonymous, and will not need any personal information.

Each session will take place on a Thursday, will be a maximum of 1 hour and will involve accessing the Internet using a desktop/laptop computer from wherever you are e.g. home or work.

The project is Check, Challenge and Appeal (a digital version of the current process for Business Rates), the project is ending on 21 December and the VOA is now just doing some User Research sessions work to help it identify quick wins.

Involving tax agents will help make improvements to ensure that users find the service easy and are confident enough to use the service. It will also help identify any improvements in advance of the launch and help prioritise any future developments.
