CIPP Specialist Interest Group for the North East?

The Policy team has received a suggestion from a member that payroll professionals in the North East would gain real benefit from a CIPP networking group in the area.
Are you a CIPP member (or possible future member) working in the North East and if a group was set up is this something you would join?
We would like to gauge what appetite there might be and our current thinking is that this group could run along the lines of our Local Authority SIG (Specialist Interest Group). Members of this group are part of an online forum where they raise and discuss immediate issues and then approximately four times a year face to face meetings are arranged where legislative changes within our profession are discussed and best practice is shared.
