Need some extra help to resolve a client query?

11 December 2018

A recent ‘HMRC working with tax agents’ blog highlights that if you have a client-specific issue that is proving tricky to resolve through the usual HMRC channels then you may want to consider using the Agent Account Managers (AAM) Service.

This service acts as an intermediary between agents and HMRC business areas to help restore business as usual processes. They can help to resolve issues which involve many parts of HMRC and will act on your behalf where processes aren’t quite working or you’re experiencing delays.

Please note the AAM team is not able to offer tax advice or carry out tax work themselves. You will not be able to use this service if your issue has been submitted as a formal complaint.

To register for the AAM service, simply complete the online User Registration form. You will need to complete a form for each customer issue you would like support on.

For more information about this service, or to provide feedback, please visit the GOV.UK webpage Agent Account Managers in HMRC.
