24 July 2015

The Institute of Fundraising (IoF) has announced that the National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards ceremony will be held in November this year to celebrate the efforts of employers, charities and professional partnerships in promoting Payroll Giving in the workplace.

Any employer who has achieved a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum Payroll Giving Award Certificate is eligible to apply for entry to the National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards.

The Awards are organised by the Institute of Fundraising’s Payroll Giving Special Interest Group in partnership with the Association of Payroll Giving Organisations and will take place on 17 November 2015 in the House of Lords.

The National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards are designed to showcase the best Payroll Giving schemes in the UK. The deadline for applications is 15 September 2015.

Mervi Slade, Chair of the Institute of Fundraising’s Payroll Giving Special Interest Group said:

“The National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards are a very important way of recognising employers that really get behind the scheme to raise invaluable regular giving in the workplace. Payroll Giving continues to be a reliable source of income that helps charities to continue their good work here in UK and around the world. Without it, planning ahead would be so much more difficult.”

Panikos Efthimiou, Chair, Association of Payroll Giving Organisations (APGO), said:

"The National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards are an excellent example of innovative and productive partnerships between employers and charities. We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Institute of Fundraising's Payroll Giving Special Interest Group in highlighting this work which continues to provide much-needed income for the charitable sector"
