News from The Pensions Regulator
01 March 2016
News from The Pensions Regulator includes DB scheme returns, new non-exec directors on the board and their recent mental health pledge.
Defined Benefit (DB) scheme return update
DB and hybrid schemes are now receiving their DB scheme return to complete. TPR’s checklist will guide schemes through the new questions and let them know what information they’ll need to complete them.
All schemes eligible for compensation by the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) must provide their scheme information to TPR via the scheme return so they can pass the relevant scheme information as at 31 March 2016 to the PPF for their purposes.
Three new non-executive directors
TPR recently announced the appointment of three new non-executive directors to their Board by the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. Tilly Ross and Sarah Smart joined the Board on 1 February, followed by Margaret Snowden OBE on 9 May. The appointments are for four years. You can learn more about TPR’s Board here.
Mental health pledge
TPR recently joined a growing number of companies who have signed the Time to Change employer pledge. Time to Change is England’s biggest anti-stigma programme and was set up to create a positive shift in public attitudes towards mental health problems. You can find out more here.
