SURVEY RESPONSE FROM IPP MEMBERS IN RESPECT TO THE PROPOSALS TO CHANGE THE METHOD OF CALCULATION OF SCOTTISH ARRESTMENT ORDERS
23 July 2009
Summary of response
There was only one question asked. In total there were 99 response from IPP members. Almost 90% of members either did not believe the changes would impact them, or had no opinion on the question. Only 10% that responded had concerns with the proposals. The concerns are detailed below; however the main concern is the fact that both fixed amounts and percentages will be used. There is also strong opinion that the tables are being changed for change sake, rather than to be consistent with other orders.
The IPP would welcome further consultation on this, as appropriate. The IPP would also welcome confirmation of the date for these changes.
