CIPP survey ? HMT Travel and Subsistence: discussion paper
29 October 2015
The CIPP policy team have put together a survey to gather your answers, thoughts and experiences on questions taken from the discussion paper that go to the heart of your views of the current rules that govern travel and subsistence and the issues raised within the discussion paper. Your responses will feed into the written response that the CIPP will submit to HMT by 16 December. Responses to this discussion document will inform the policy development process and the detail of any proposed reform will be subject to full consultation at a later date.
This discussion paper:
- sets out the background to the review, including an overview of the current T&S rules
- sets out the case for change, including an outline of the issues identified
- outlines a potential framework for new rules that tackle the issues identified
- summarises key questions and issues we would like to test with interested stakeholders and sets out the next steps
We would encourage you to read the discussion paper in full before responding to the survey as the introduction to each survey section attempts to do no more than provide the briefest of detail. Only by reading the discussion paper in full can the potential impact of change be considered or appreciated.
The Policy & Research team are also considering holding a think tank forum if you would be interested in attending this event please contact policy marking your email FAO Samantha Mann.
Setting aside the demographic questions, there are 22 questions to answer and where possible we have provided tick box answers, but the nature of this discussion paper would ideally require you to bolster your answer with additional narrative or detail to your initial answer choice. Depending on how you respond to the survey it could take anywhere from 10 minutes to half an hour to complete.
This survey will close on 27 November 2015. Thank you.
