Guidance updated on contractual enrolment and automatic enrolment

The Pensions Regulator has updated their guidance to make it clear that contractual enrolment is not the same as automatic enrolment.
The guidance focuses on:
- Contractual enrolment requires worker consent - automatic enrolment does not
- Schemes currently used for contractual enrolment need to be reviewed if they’re to be used for automatic enrolment
- Rules on worker communication are different under automatic enrolment – especially relating to ceasing membership.
