Frequently asked questions

Please note, the below FAQs are subject to change for each ceremony, so please check back or contact us if you have any issues.

When should I arrive and what is the agenda?

The graduation ceremony will start at 12pm.

We ask that our graduates arrive from 10am to allow plenty of time to robe, take professional pictures etc.

The ceremony will finish at 2pm and a drinks reception will follow until 4pm.

How do I get my Graduation robe?

Graduates will receive details on robes via their invitation email. You can find more details on our robe supplier here.

How many tickets are free / need to buy?

Tickets are free for Graduates and £20 + VAT per each additional guest.

There is no limit on how many quests you can bring, but each guest must have a ticket.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes. Graduates and guests can park at Q Park at Brindley Place, which is the closest car park to the venue and only a short walk.

Address: 1 Brunswick Street, Birmingham B1 2JF

Will food and drinks be provided on the day?

Yes of course! Lights snacks and refreshments will be provided, but we ask that our graduates ensure to let us know of any dietary requirements as part of their invitation & joining details.

What is the age limit required to attend?

3 years and above.

Will professional photographs be taken at the event?

Professional photos can be taken before and after the ceremony by Marstons robing. You will be directed by the CIPP and IPPE teams on the day.

When will the photos and videos from the day be available?

It can take up to 2 weeks for the photos to be made available online.

The live stream recording will be available immediately after the ceremony using the same link but will be added to the CIPP website within the 2 week period.

The highlights video of the day will normally be available the following month but no specific timeframe can be given.

I left my photos behind, where can I go to collect them?

Unfortunately, the CIPP do not collect the leftover photos and post them out, so please do ensure you have them with you.

If you have forgotten to collect your photos or need replacement copies, please contact Martons Robing at https://www.marstonrobing.com/contact

What happens if I can't make it to my graduation?

Unfortunately, the Graduation ceremony only takes place once a year. Therefore, students who are unable to attend their ceremony will not have another opportunity to attend. Certificate(s) will be sent by post following the ceremony taking place.

This does not mean that they do not formally Graduate as the ceremony signifies every student's achievements for that academic year.
