The CIPP’s National Payroll Week 2021 took place from 6-10 September 2021

2020 saw our most successful National Payroll Week to date, with over 5,500 packs downloaded and engagement rates at an all-time high, as payroll professionals right across the UK took the time to get involved and celebrated their tremendous success at keeping the UK paid.

We were thrilled to have once again received a letter of endorsement from Solihull's very own MP Julian Knight who stated: "Payroll professionals are vital to our nation and it was through their efforts there was an outstanding contribution of approximately £249 billion to the UK economy".

National Payroll Week was established in the UK by the CIPP in 1998 to celebrate the payroll profession and to give it the recognition it deserves. The week is designed to demonstrate the impact the payroll industry has in the UK through the collection of income tax and National Insurance; especially when you consider the £249 billion* paid to the government through income tax and national insurance contributions.

This year we hoped to expand on the success of 2020 and ensure that payrollers continue to be at forefront of their industries, whilst celebrating themselves and their colleagues for their outstanding performance and achievements.

Information on how the payroll community celebrated National Payroll Week 2021 will be featured in the October issue of Professional in Payroll, Pensions and Reward magazine.
