National Payroll Week
|SUPPORTING AND MEDIA PARTNERS|
The CIPP’s National Payroll Week 2020, took place on 7-11 September
We’d also like to thank all of our sponsors and partners of this most prestigious week. A special thanks go to Portfolio Payroll who once again signed up as headline sponsors.
The week was a huge success and over 5,000 of you downloaded our digital packs and celebrated the week with your colleagues.
We are so pleased to have received the backing from the UK government again this year for our National Payroll Week. Rt Hon Jesse Norman MP sent us a letter of endorsement this week, praising not only the hard work done by the CIPP with regards to National Payroll Week, but to all payroll professionals in the UK for ‘keeping the UK paid’. We also received a letter of endorsement from Solihull's very own MP Julian Knight who stated: "Payroll professionals are vitally important to our economy, and are a profession often not seen but are vital to keeping the UK paid".
National Payroll Week was established in the UK by the CIPP in 1998 to celebrate the payroll profession and to give it the recognition it deserves. The week is designed to demonstrate the impact the payroll industry has in the UK through the collection of income tax and National Insurance, which is expected to contribute in the region of £325.7bn* to the UK economy in 2020/21.
This year more than ever, the payroll profession, like others, have been tested to their extremes and have been identified as the staff needed for essential financial services provision, namely keeping the UK paid!
