This page (together with the documents expressly referred to on it) tells you information about us and the legal terms and conditions (terms) on which we sell any of the products and services (products) listed on our website (our site) to you.

These terms will apply to any contract between us for the sale of products to you (contract). Please read these terms carefully and make sure that you understand them, before ordering any product(s) from our site. Please note that by ordering any of our products, you agree to be bound by these terms and the other documents expressly referred to in it.

Please accept our terms at the point of order. If you refuse to accept our terms then you will not be able to order any products from our site. Access to and use of our site constitutes acceptance of the following terms.

You may wish to print a copy of these terms (or save them to your computer) for future reference.

From time to time employers contact the CIPP to confirm the membership status of applicants, please be aware that the CIPP will confirm the status of membership if requested, i.e. whether you are a member or not.  We will not pass on any other details to third parties without prior consent.

Member discount rate is open to associate, full and fellow membership levels only. New members are charged a £35 registration fee as part of joining. If a membership is left to lapse at the time of renewal and 3 months pass, a £35 charge will be issued upon renewal.

Training offers

Complimentary affiliate membership.

If you book one of the courses listed below and attend them between 3 February 2020 and 29 May, you will receive complimentary membership of CIPP at affiliate level saving you £90.

Further terms and conditions apply to this offer:

  • The offer applies to non-members only and cannot be retrospectively applied to existing members
  • Only applies to the training courses listed and cannot be used against any other CIPP training course, online learning or qualification
  • Cannot be applied retrospectively to any bookings that have previously been confirmed
  • Has no cash value and cannot be offset against any other CIPP product or service
  • The CIPP reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the offer without notice
  • All other CIPP terms and conditions of booking apply

Payroll and HR legislation update course

If you book a Payroll and HR legislation update course and attend it between 3 February 2020 and 29 May, you will receive a complimentary copy of The CIPP 2020 Budget Summary and access to The CIPP response to the budget webcast.

Further terms and conditions apply to this offer:

  • Applies to the Payroll and HR legislation update course listed and advertised on the CIPP training course page only, except for online training courses and CIPP qualifications.
  • Cannot be applied retrospectively to courses which ran before February 2020, nor post May 2020
  • Has no cash value and cannot be offset against any other CIPP product or service
  • The CIPP reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the offer without notice
  • All other CIPP terms and conditions of booking apply

Membership offer

Lockdown offer:

  • £35 registration fee waived for returning members who use the code 'Lockdown' to re-join, at any level of CIPP membership, between 1 June until 31 August 2020
  • Offer is only valid to past members who lapsed or cancelled between 1 January 2019 and 29 March 2020
