Issue with SMP calculator

We have received reports from members that the Statutory Maternity Pay calculator on GOV.UK is not calculating correctly.
We have reported the issues to HMRC as a matter of importance.
It would appear that one of the issues is that the calculation is being completed by taking the total earnings and dividing them by 8 rather than applying the normal calculation of total earnings divided by 2, times 12 and divided by 52.
We will of course keep you updated on this issue.
