The CIPP celebrates apprenticeship success

12 December 2014: As the government announces its two millionth apprenticeship placement in the UK, the CIPP celebrates a successful first year within its own apprenticeship programme.

Since the programme started in 2013, the CIPP has placed over 30 apprentices in 20 employers and paved the way to increase this number to over 100 in 40 employers in 2015.

Offering both intermediate and advanced apprentices the programme is delivered through a network of tutor assessors with significant experience within the payroll sector, providing them with the best support to improve their skills and make a difference within the workplace.

With access to government funding, subject to the age of the applicant, part or the entire cost of the programme is taken care of allowing employers to focus on the benefits apprentices can bring to the business.

Dave Martin, Head of the Professional Careers Academy at the CIPP, said: “It’s fantastic to see the UK industry embracing the apprenticeship programme, as the benefits to both parties can be significant. It’s an issue that has taken priority at the CIPP over the last 12 months and we’re extremely encouraged by the take up we’ve seen within the industry and the interest that’s already in place for 2015.”

The CIPP also offers the government funded traineeship programme that allows an employer to see potential future apprentices through unpaid work placements. These placements allow an employer to find the most suitable candidates for its business.
