Automatic enrolment: do you employ seasonal workers?

The Pension Regulator’s (TPR’s) current automatic enrolment (AE) campaign reminds employers who employ temporary or seasonal staff of their duties.
You must assess seasonal or temporary staff individually every time they’re paid, including staff who work for a few days, a few weeks or several months.
TPR have some helpful guidance pages to assist you with AE:
- Employing seasonal or temporary staff
- Staff employed on irregular hours or incomes
- Assessing staff whose hours and pay varies.
With fines for non-compliance escalating up to £10,000, it is important to stay on top of your duties.
