The department for Business and Trade (DBT) has responded to a consultation seeking views on non-financial reporting. A key proposal was the raising of the employee threshold for medium sized companies to 500 employees.
This could have impacts on some of the pay gap reporting payroll professionals currently have a hand in producing.
In the response, given on 14 October 2024, the government has decided that the proposals will not be taken forward at this time, but will be considered as part of a wider review.
