CIPP receives Platinum Quality Mark Award for commitment to payroll giving
13 August 2018
The CIPP has been recognised for commitment to payroll giving with a Platinum Quality Mark Award from the Institute of Fundraising. The CIPP introduced payroll giving in February 2015 and has 24% of employees making charitable contributions through their pay. The Platinum Quality Mark Award recognises the commitment to payroll giving specifically in the last 12 months.
The Quality Mark Award is a government-supported initiative that recognises employers who continually strive to increase donations and foster a culture of committed giving in the workplace.
Shirley Harris, HR and payroll manager commented on the achievement: “I am absolutely delighted that the CIPP has received this award. We have been championing our members to promote Payroll Giving for years, so it seemed right that we introduced this ourselves. We have had a good rate of participation; employees have been keen to donate to their chosen charities.”
In addition to Payroll Giving, the CIPP has a charity committee which arranges charitable events for the CIPPs two chosen charities, Acorns Children’s Hospice and Cancer Research UK.
