Connecting to HMRC online services

The protocol changes that were due to be applied to the Government Gateway have been delayed until at least the end of January 2016.

HMRC’s Software Developers Support Team (SDST) confirmed that the withdrawal of support for SSL v3.0 from VSIPS (ISV) went ahead as planned on 5 January 2016.

However, the change planned to go ahead on 6 January 2016, in relation to the LIVE (Production) environment, hit some issues and as a result, still supports SSL v3.0. The Government Gateway will issue a new date for the change, anticipated to be after 31 January 2016.
