David Gauke continues to oversee UK tax system

The CIPP is pleased to see that David Gauke has been reappointed as Financial Secretary to the Treasury.
David Gauke was also re-elected as MP for South West Hertfordshire, a position he has held since 2005. In a cabinet reshuffle in July 2014 Mr Gauke moved on from being Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury to Financial Secretary to the Treasury (FST), a position he has been now been reappointed to, in the new Conservative government.

CIPP comment The CIPP would like to congratulate Mr Gauke on his continuing FST role which will still include strategic oversight of the UK tax system including HMRC’s administration of business and personal taxation. The Policy Team would like to extend a warm welcome back to a conscientious and practical politician who listens to those on the ground. |
