The Government has today published draft tax legislation for inclusion in the next Finance Bill, accompanied by a Written Ministerial Statement from the Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury, Dan Tomlinson.
The annual ‘Legislation Day’ process allows stakeholders to review and comment on draft tax legislation before it is introduced to Parliament, helping to ensure that policy intentions are accurately reflected in law.
Alongside the draft legislation, the Government has also published a number of new tax consultations and responses to recently concluded consultations.
The final content of Finance Bill 2026–27 will be confirmed by the Chancellor at the next Budget.
Further details, including the draft legislation, consultations and Ministerial Statement, are available here.
