Employee related securities: annual return issues

The Policy Team has received reports that there are some technical issues with HMRC’s IT system which has affected data from some company share scheme returns. You may be asked to submit your return again.

Due to this issue you may be contacted to ask to resubmit your annual return. HMRC will send out separate letters for each share scheme that a return needs to be resubmitted for.

Please note that late filing penalties will not be charged.

HMRC has said that you do not need to contact them if you receive a resubmission letter and if you have any queries about the process then the usual channels of communication should be used:
