The CIPP secures new 'Goldfinger' premises in Solihull

27 June 2014

The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) has today announced they have exchanged contracts on new James Bond inspired premises in Shirley, Solihull.

The new building, Goldfinger House, originally designed in the 1950s by Ernö Goldfinger who famously inspired Ian Flemmings, Goldfinger, character after the two had a run in, will house all the CIPP office staff.

Having outgrown their previous premises, Shelly House, the new building purchased by the institute will support the continued growth of the business, with several new hires planned over the coming weeks alone.

Lindsay Melvin, CEO of the CIPP said: “Securing the freehold of Goldfinger House marks an exciting new chapter for the CIPP. We’ve been committed to growing the business for sometime now but unfortunately our current premises haven’t been able to accommodate this direction. We’re confident that our new building will not only be a great asset for the business but also bring the ‘Midas touch’ to the CIPP’s future.”

Goldfinger House boasts 6,880 sq ft of office space, which will enable the institute to not only house the entire office team but also run much of their local training from the building. In addition, any unused space will be made available for local businesses and as a membership benefit to Fellows of the CIPP.

The CIPP hopes to be in Goldfinger House within the next three months.
