With a new government many departments are reassessing what that means for long term plan that were underway when they came to power. One such item is the Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) being worked on by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).

Emma Reynolds, Parliamentary undersecretary of state (minister for Pensions), has released a statement reaffirming the governments commitment to delivering the pensions dashboards.

While the statement doesn’t give us a go live date, it does provide us with some additional information about the early stages of the plan. The government supports the plan to allow commercial dashboard services where individuals will have choice of where to engage with the service. However, there will be a period where only the MaPS MoneyHelper government-backed service will be operational.

Early connections to the service from pension providers are expected to start in April 2025, with an overall connection deadline of 31 October 2026.
