Numbers of employers reporting their Gender Pay Gaps slowly rises
05 March 2018
No option on its own offers a silver bullet, but taken together with many other government sponsored and voluntary initiatives it is hoped that they will go a long way towards changing attitudes and working practices and thus reduce the gender pay gap that exists in the UK.
As we count down towards the first reporting deadlines for employers (with 250 or more employees) the viewing service continues to reflect a small increase in the number of employers who have uploaded their Gender Pay Gap (GPG) results to the GPG reporting service.
In addition to reporting results using the GPG reporting service employers must also publish their GPG results together with a written statement on their public facing website. A narrative that also explains how the employer may be addressing any imbalance that might exist, whilst not compulsory, is being strongly encouraged and if you have yet to publish your results, there are already many good examples available in the public domain that could provide you with useful pointers and ideas.
