Graduation delight for payroll and pensions students at Symphony Hall

09 November 2015

The CIPP held its annual graduation ceremony on Friday 6 November at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham where students collected their honours in front of proud friends and family.

Thrilled graduates will be looking to advance and develop in their current roles thanks to their new qualifications which will help give them a boost on the career ladder and start a new chapter in their lives. The qualifications have been designed and run by the CIPP with the help of Heart of Worcestershire College who assessed the students.

The CIPP has already helped 15,000+ individuals to become qualified and this year’s students qualified in a number of fields which included:

- Apprentices in intermediate payroll

- Foundation Degree in Payroll Management

- Foundation Degree in Pensions Administration and Management

- BA (Hons) in Applied Business and Management

- MSc in Business and Reward Management

Elaine Gibson, Associate Director of Policy and Professional Qualifications, said: “Our annual graduation ceremony is biggest event of the year for us and our students. It’s when all their hard work pays off and they can celebrate with the family and friends. But the event represents more than that, it highlights the skills and depth of knowledge required to work in payroll and pensions in the UK.”

There was also an added element to this year’s proceedings as apprentices were recognised as well as degree holders. This gave apprentices the chance to be acknowledged among other students and have their hard work awarded. The CIPP is continuing to take new students for courses and has openings for a number of qualifications which can be found online at - http://www.cipp.org.uk/en/learning-and-development/
