Midland Heart housing association achieves Payroll Assurance Scheme Accreditation

The PAS accreditation provides payroll departments with the assurance that their payroll and associated processes are fit for purpose and comply with government legislation. It also ensures that they have the correct payroll activities in place and suitable processes are prepared and agreed to comply with legislative change.
Ken Pullar, Chief Executive Officer of the CIPP, said: “We are thrilled that Midland Heart housing association have joined the ranks of organisations to have achieved this respected accreditation. It is imperative that organisations comply with government legislation and the PAS scheme is designed to help them do just that.”

He added that over the past five years the payroll team had integrated into the HR shared services team, evolved its working practices and adopted a mantra of continuous improvement. Manual processes and dealing with a high volume of paper submissions are a thing of the past with claims now made via an online system, while some current HR systems are to be replaced, bringing further benefits.
