NEST RECRUITING FOR EMPLOYERS AND MEMBER PANELS

14 February 2011

NEST Corporation has started the recruitment process for the Chairs and initial members of its Employer and Member Panels.

A recruitment website is now live -visit www.nestpanels.org.uk

Background:

NEST Corporation has started the recruitment process for the Chairs and initial members of its Member and Employer Panels. The Member Panel will play an essential role in representing the views of NEST scheme members and future scheme members to the Trustee. The Employer Panel will provide an essential communication channel between the business world and employers who will use NEST, and the NEST Trustee.

NEST is looking to attract people who are truly representative of these groups.

The Panels will contribute to a range of issues and activities which are set out in legislation via the Pensions Act 2008, the NEST Scheme Order 2010 and the NEST Rules. An example of what the Employer Panel might do includes being consulted at any time when the Statement of Investment Principles is reviewed. The Member Panel will represent NEST members' perspectives to NEST Corporation.

When the first Panels are established the Trustee will aim to appoint up to 6 members on each Panel; this will allow room for scheme members and participating employers to be appointed to the Panels once the scheme is up and running. (The maximum number for both Panels, including the Chairs, is 15).

Closing date for applications is 28 February 2011.
