As we run up to the election, much of the standard government business will come to a complete stop. This can mean legislation, policy and consultation cease to enter the news.

What we do get, however, is much talk of manifesto pledges, policy intentions and plans for the future from all political parties, staking their flag for potential voters.

Bearing in mind that the CIPP, as a chartered body, is politically neutral; what coverage would you like to see from us during this period? Do you want to hear about any speculation or new policy ideas that might impact payroll? Or would you rather see things from us only if and when they become the clear intentions of a sitting government?

Let us know on the news pages with our latest quick poll. Thank you for your input as always.
