Over 9 million jobholders enrolled into pension schemes

05 February 2018

The latest declaration of compliance report from The Pensions Regulator (TPR) shows that up to the end of last year, 9,061,000 jobholders have been enrolled into automatic enrolment pension schemes.

The Declaration of compliance figures for up to the end of December 2017, also show that:

  • 983,446 employers have automatically enrolled jobholders

  • 367,288 employers have automatically re-enrolled jobholders

  • 545,000 jobholders re-enrolled into automatic enrolment pension schemes.

TPR publish monthly information on automatic enrolment, derived from information submitted by employers when they complete their declaration of compliance.

Employers have up to five months from their staging date to provide TPR with information on automatic enrolment so those employers who have staged from September 2017 may not yet have completed the declaration process and so may not be included in the latest report.

The Declaration of compliance figures for up to the end of December 2017 are available on TPR’s website.
