Government to ban ?overseas only? recruiting

06 August 2014

The Government have announced that they plan to amend current legislation to prevent recruiters from advertising jobs exclusively overseas.

The Government say that there have been instances of British workers being excluded from job opportunities in this country, which is the reason for introducing this measure, although recruitment industry representatives dispute this. The Government are now consulting on this proposal, which would require employers and employment agencies to advertise all jobs in the UK and in English before they can be published overseas.
