08 September 2015

Yorkshire Water Services has obtained the prestigious Payroll Quality Partnership (PQP) accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP).

The Chartered Institute is also pleased to announce that NHS Shared Business Services Southampton, MidlandHR, Menzies LLP, ESOS, Frontier Software PLC, Oxford City Council, North Bristol NHS Trust, LGSS and Equiniti ICS have all been re-accredited.

The PQP award recognises organisations that apply best practice in the development of their payroll professionals to enable them to provide customers with the highest level of service.

The PQP accreditation scheme was launched in 2007 to provide a standard for performance management in payroll, encouraging organisations to maintain professional competence while enhancing and developing payroll skills and knowledge. Currently, there are more than 62 accredited organisations as well as a further 14 currently engaged and working towards this prestigious accreditation.

Lindsay Melvin, CEO of the CIPP, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Yorkshire Water Services have now joined the ranks of organisations to achieve this respected accreditation. I would also like to commend the companies that have achieved PQP re-accreditation – their ongoing dedication to their payroll staff’s professional development is a testament to the success that PQP is today.”

Carolyn Bywater, Back Office Manager (Shared Services) Yorkshire Water Services, added: “The Payroll Team is thrilled to have achieved such a prestigious accreditation which recognises the teams’ passion in delivering a high quality Payroll service to Yorkshire Water.”
