The results are in from our latest Quick Poll. The policy team wanted to handle FPS reporting at Christmas if you pay early due to national holidays.
We have a long history of asking this question, it was asked last Christmas period and was even asked in the Payroll Statistics Survey in both 2022 and 2023.
This year the results are as follows:

As we can see, when looking at only those who pay early in December there are 28% of respondents reporting the actual pay date. If you are in this group, head over to our LinkedIn Newsletter, The Payroll Pages, to see why this could be an issue.
Comparing this to the results from the Payroll Statistics Survey results for 2023, we still see a similar response of around 31%. As this can have some serious impacts on employees on Universal Credit, it is imperative that we fix this issue as a profession.
Thank you to all who responded to this Quick Poll, your input means a lot and helps us to assist you better in future.
