The Government have announced a consultation as part of their Make Work Pay initiative, looking at ending one-sided flexibility of zero hours and similar contracts.
The consultation formally looks at the following areas:
- a right to guaranteed hours, where the number of hours offered reflects the hours worked by a qualifying worker during a reference period;
- a right to reasonable notice of shifts; and
- a right to payment for shifts cancelled, curtailed, or moved at short notice.
The Policy Team are looking for your input, as this data can truly impact and shape future government policy and how it affects the pay professional community. The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete and can be done via a computer or on your mobile.
Complete the survey here.
Please note that this survey will close at Midnight on the 9th of August 2026.
