HMRC has announced a change to fuel rates for petrol and diesel cars, confirming the advisory fuel rates to be used from 1 June 2025. You can use the previous rates for up to one month after the new rates apply.

Hybrid cars should be treated as petrol or diesel for the purposes of these rates.

The fully electric car advisory rate remains at 7 pence per mile.
This will also be reviewed quarterly along with the other rates.
