CIPP webcast – Kickstart Scheme

As part of his ‘Plan for Jobs’, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak unveiled the Kickstart Scheme, designed to assist individuals aged between 16 and 24, in receipt of Universal Credit, at risk of long-term unemployment, into meaningful work.

This webcast discusses some of the key elements to the scheme, and the changes announced on 25 January 2021, that took effect from 3 February 2021.

The webcast also gives an overview of some of the other Government schemes implemented to incentivise young people to get into work, and to encourage employers to hire those younger individuals.
