CIS and Off-payroll working
12 July 2021
Register now for an Off-payroll Working (OPW) event which focuses on supporting medium and large clients in the Construction sector who are affected by the 2021 OPW rules which are being held during July 2021.
The workshops are designed for medium or large-sized clients (hiring organisations) and will cover client responsibilities from 6 April 2021. They are not focused on worker responsibilities therefore will be unable to answer any questions about how the changes will affect workers.
In this workshop HMRC will be talking through the main points of the changes to the off-payroll working rules that came into effect from April 2021 for construction organisations who are subject to the 2021 rules. The workshops will be tailored to meet your specific support needs, therefore, when you register for the workshop, you will have the opportunity to tell HMRC which parts of the reform you would like to speak about.
Examples of the type of content that we cover includes:
- Which engagements are covered by the rules
- Status Determination Statements
- The client-led status disagreement process
- The recovery of debt provisions
- Interaction with CIS
- VAT reverse charge
This is an interactive workshop which will be led by members of HMRC’s OPW education and support team and are expected to last up to one hour.
