HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has updated the CWG5 guidance on gov.uk due to an error.
The error was spotted by a member who let us know through our advisory service, seeking clarification. Errors in government guidance can lead to disastrous end results where errors are present, so we urge you to do as this member did and seek assistance if you are unsure.
The guidance incorrectly stated a rate of 14.53% National Insurance in one instance where the correct rate should be 13.8%. This has now been rectified to avoid further confusion.
