The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has released a new set of consultations as part of the ‘Make Work Pay’ Collection, alongside an updated implementation timeline for the ‘Plan to Make Work Pay and Employment Rights Act’.
Consultations now open:
- Improving access to flexible working
- Strengthening the law on tipping
- Fire and rehire; specifically changes relating to expenses, benefits, and shift patterns
Next steps
The Policy Team will be reviewing the consultations in detail to determine the most appropriate approach for our organisational response. We’ll share further updates once we’ve had time to analyse the proposals and consider their implications.
