The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has announced the new board members of the Fair Work Agency.
Ahead of the launch on 7 April, the Fair Work Agency Advisory Board will work with already appointed Chair Matthew Taylor and CEO Lisa Pinney to provide advice to the government and help set the direction and strategy of the Fair Work Agency.
The board has an equal number of members with independent, employer and trade union backgrounds.
The members are:
- Patricia Findlay - Distinguished Professor of Work and Employment Relations and Director of the Scottish Centre for Employment Research at the University of Strathclyde
- Gavin Kelly - Chief Executive of the Nuffield Foundation and a former head of the Resolution Foundation
- Dora-Olivia Vicol - Chief Executive of the Work Rights Centre
- Neil Carberry - Chief Executive of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation
- Mustafa Faruqi - Employee Relations Director at BT Group
- Joanne Young - experienced recruitment and workforce policy specialist
- Mike Clancy - General Secretary and Chief Executive of Prospect
- Diana Holland OBE - senior trade union leader
- Dave Ward - General Secretary of the Communication Workers Union.
The agency is set to enforce and protect workers rights across several areas, including employment rights, National Minimum Wage and holiday pay.
