Van benefit charge and the car and van fuel benefit charges confirmed for 2022-23 tax year

The car and van fuel benefit charge and van benefit charge has been confirmed following on from yesterday’s (27 October) Budget. The charges are linked to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) which has been confirmed to be 3.1%. 

The increases to these rates are as follows:

•    The flat-rate van benefit charge will increase to £3,600 from £3,500
•    The multiplier for car fuel benefit charge will increase to £25,300 from £24,600
•    The flat-rate van fuel benefit charge will increase to £688 from £669
