Agents form an important part of the payroll and tax systems for many businesses and their needs can differ from that of other organisations and individuals that interact with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

The community forums can help you find answers to your questions about tax and benefits and provide a space for agents to discuss and resolve issues.

The Agent Forum is hosted in a private area within the HMRC online customer forum through which agents can raise general queries about HMRC systems and processes that they come across in day-to-day practice.

All agents, who are a member of a professional body, such as the CIPP, are invited to join HMRC’s Agent Forum. Members are encouraged to sign up to the forum and report concerns or ask questions. It is only through providing feedback to HMRC that such issues can be identified and resolved.

HMRC has provided a guidance document on how to register for the service.
