HMRC realise lots of people won’t have the time to delve into the six consultation documents so they have provided a ‘bite-sized’ overview for small businesses, the self-employed and smaller landlords that provides an easy way to provide your views and suggestions through an online survey with just 16 questions (and you don’t have to answer all of them).

HMRC is also running further webinars on Thursday 27 October (1pm-2pm) and Monday 31 October (12pm-1pm), an introduction to Making Tax Digital - an overview of all the consultations around specific elements of the Making Tax Digital reforms.

And on Wednesday 26 October (3pm-4pm) - simplifying tax for unincorporated businesses and landlords - an overview of the simplification consultations, designed specifically for self-employed individuals, landlords, partnerships and agents.

You can register for these new webinars by using this link to go to the GOV.UK article on webinars and Making Tax Digital events. Select the link that displays the date of the webinar you wish to attend and follow the instructions to register.

There is also a recording (approximately 20 minutes long) of the Introduction to Making Tax Digital webinar. To watch this follow the link ‘Watch a recording of this webinar’. This webinar requires registration but there is no question and answer session within it.
