The UK’s inflation rate has remained at 3.8% in September according to Office for National Statistics (ONS) for the third consecutive month.
Costs of food and non-alcoholic drinks fell for the time in months, while the cost of chocolate and red meat continue to rise.
September’s rate of inflation remains more meaningful than most other months, because it’s the rate the government typically use for uprating statutory payments.
Keep an eye out for the next Consumer Price Index (CPI) update released on 19th November.
