The government launched a refocused Investment Zone programme at the 2023 Spring Budget, with the aim of regenerating regions across the country by giving businesses tax relief to assist in bringing investment, trade, and jobs to designated areas.

An additional six Investment Zones were added to the list at the 2024 Spring Budget: Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region, Northeast of England, South Yorkshire, and West Midlands and Tees Valley.

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has published maps for three of the Investment Zones and Investment Zone tax sites.

The maps show areas of Liverpool, the Northeast of England, and the West Midlands where businesses will benefit from tax reliefs.

Further maps of Investment Zones and Investment Zone tax sites will be added once they have been designated.
