As the government recess is now over, many of the calls for evidence and consultations released prior are coming to a close. The latest to close is the call for evidence from the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).

The consultation is run for the Director of Labour Market Enforcement, Margaret Beels and aims to tackle and resolve issues in the labour market including exploitation, policy side-effects and non-compliance. The director oversees three main enforcement bodies:

  • HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) National Minimum Wage team
  • the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA)
  • the Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate (EAS).

The CIPP’s consultation response is available on the policy hub of our website for members to read, along with all the other consultations and calls for evidence that we have responded to.

Keep an eye out for future consultations and let us know if there are any you would like to have your input in on.
